Brick Tournament '02
The Connecticut Yankees--The Only U.S. Team To Win Canada's Premier Tournament.
In January of 1990, Bill Comrie met with a few of his executives at The Brick Warehouse Corporation and discussed a hockey tournament concept that would be both unique and beneficial to many people for years to come. Bill's vision was a hockey tournament for players nine and ten years of age that would be international in scope and personal in presentation. He recognized that this age category did not have national presence similar to the Quebec Pee-Wee Tournament or the Mac Midget Tournament.
The Connecticut Yankees are the only American team in the last ten years to win Canada's premier youth hockey tournament--Super Brick Novice Tournament in Edmonton, AL. This tournament is the premier showcase for these 10-year-old athletes.
In just the first four years of this tournament, more than 40 players have been drafted into the NHL. Take a look at the alumni from this 21 year old tournament
Now, the 2001 born Connecticut Yankees birth year team has been invited to the 2011 Super Brick Novice Tournament in Edmonton, AL..
